Anyone have a good source (US) of glass eyeballs for needle felting? And is it better to get the pin type or the loop type? Should I just get black beads??

I think it depends on what the item is for. if they are for children I think the sew on kind is what you have to use so they can't get them off. There are lots of rules about children's toys and clothing. If what you are making is only for display then I think use the kind you like. I am not sure how easy it would be to poke the wire through felt.

Hi Ali I can't make a suggestion for your first question, because I'm in the UK. I prefer the glass eyes with the loops, mostly because the ones with the pin look a bit lethal! So the loop ones seem better to me from a safety point of view Catherine

I personally like glass taxidermy eyes and doll eyes with loops, they're the best to work with. Not to mention the quality goes up compared to flat backed eyes, but each to their own!
