Hi Everyone! After a number of years and workshops, I guess I can say that I am a felter. I am also a long-standing knitter and crocheter. I am over-the-moon fascinated by the felting process and the mystery of what will happen during that process to yield uncertain but usually wonderful results. I do knitted, nuno, wet, and a little needle felting. Fiber art is actually my third career, having been a French and Spanish teacher in secondary schools and then a career counselor in higher education. But this journey into the arts has been extraordinary for me. For the past 8 years, I have been associated with a co-op gallery of 22 local artists in Wilmington, where I have experienced more success than I ever imagined. Their website - which I manage - is Port City Pottery and my own is Scarf It Up!. Still hungry to learn more, I hope to be able to learn from all of you as well as contribute where I can. I appreciate being asked to join this forum.

Thank you, all! I was in Fiona's Spring class too and learned so much! Lyn, I've just recently used your SOOOO helpful tutorials on felting vessels. I thank you all for such guidance and also for looking at my work. Are we encouraged to show our work here? If so, I'm not sure I'll remember to do it. But I look forward to seeing all of yours as well.

Hi Louise, welcome to the forum Yeah, definitely share your work, not just your felting work either, like Marilyn said we'd love to see more knitted and crocheted work, and you do many different, gorgeous scarves and cowls.
