Frances they are easier to use then the coke bottle you can squish the ball part and drop it back in your soapy water and it sucks up the water again. I have a different one that is called a seedling sprinkler and it doesn't work as well . not sure way the design is very similar. for rugs and big things like that a garden water jug with the sprinkler head seems to work well in the videos I have seen. Yes, they do work well, I used one in the class I took - but I would rather spend my money on roving and take the top off what ever bottle I am using and refill it. I often put my bottle in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm the water (especially in the winter) rather than running the tap to get warm water. I could not put the ball in the microwave. I have a battery operated sprayer the fits on the top of a milk jug if I were to need it. I use it in the garden to spray insecticides. It is great for someone who has Arthritis in their hands. This is a similar product - mine did not come with a bottle. www.amazon.com/CONTINENTAL-BPS-02-Battery-Powered-Sprayer/dp/B007NHRZBK/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1422896122&sr=8-8&keywords=battery+sprayer

Those ball Brauses remind me of rubber breast pumps from back in the day!
Blimey, my 3.5 kilo's worth only came to about 67 Euros with postage included, did you mean €40?
I think Kap Merino is the only one I didn't get!
Those Royal Mail prices are stupid, I'd just send two small parcels. The size limit is 45 x 35 x 16cm, that's really quite big.

Ah yes, splitting it into 2 packs would be the way to go!
Their silk fabrics are about 2/3 the price of the cheapest I can find in the uk so I had a bit of a splurge and ordered 50 m. Part of me thinks that if I'm paying 17 E for postage I want to get my money's worth!

Oh, I see Yeah, I do that too. Their silk is incredibly cheap isn't it? I should have got some, but I do have lots of silk scarves.

Just placed an order with Wollknoll. Would you believe I spent more than I meant to?

No? Really? Still, at the current exchange rates, you saved more than you meant to, as well!

That's my theory too!! I probably saved more than I spent on silk alone.

My sister’s favorite expression, “The more you spend the more you save."

Mine's similar, Cathy 'It's not how much you spend, but how much you save'. How addicted am I that even though I have plain silk and rarely use it, I'm regretting not getting loads of it?

Zed you need to take up low water immersion dying. You just needs some mason jars.

I've seen them for sale here, but they're a bit pricey. I don't tend to have large other jars I could use either. Is it easy?
Oh, my wollknoll order came yesterday, I've had a quick look, but don't have time to look properly. The packets I opened were lovely, I think they wash their wool in fancy shampoo and conditioner!

Look on google or you tube, there are lots of videos, all using plastic buckets or washing up bowls - nothing fancy. Any old container will do as long as it's either plastic, glass, enamel, stainless steel. Not anything reactive such as aluminium or iron. I keep those 1 litre plastic yogurt buckets from Lidl - useful for all sorts of things - even for food!!!

Low water immersion dyeing is easy and you can even do it in plastic bags.

Yes you can use anything really. most of may jars are pasta sauce jars. all you need to do is let a few people know you want a few and you will be over run with them. Paula Burch's sit has great instructions. and all you need is the PHup non of the other chemicals for fiber reactive dye is needed.
