Yes, I saw that as well and wondered about the product being more for kiddie projects. However, there may be useful applications that don’t instantly spring to mind. Perhaps someone will do some samples?

I just saw this as well. It's quite expensive since the squares are only 12x12" or 30 x 30 cm. I'm sure someone wil find an application for them. Nothing jumps to mind at the moment.

I don't think this is for me, and yes, it does seem a bit pricey Marilyn. The fibre is 90% wool and 10% synthetic. It's most likely that the synthetic content is polyester as this is what is used in the production of commercially moulded felt products. I read an article on this, but I can't find it!! So perhaps if some polyester fibre were carded into some wool....... would that give a similar product?

So, like wool, but inflammable? I like the part about lighter colours burning

It would might make some odd shapes or extensions might be made stiff enough to stand up by themselves. As zed said perhaps it would work to add some polyester some wool while carding. If that worked it might work to lend some stiffness to large things. I am thinking of cat caves. Its hard to make the shape bounce back after being squashed flat. You wouldn't want it hard though.
