I got a new ceramic travel cup at Christmas but for some reason this one didn't come with anything to protect your fingers from the hot cup. So I made one. Its merino done with a resist. It was not very exiting looking so I put some sheep on it. I used french knots for the body and just plain stitches for everything else. Thanks Karen, sheep tend to be a bit of a theme with me.

What a great idea and really good fun. So the sheep are embroidered on?

Good idea Ann. I think we all like sheep, perhaps something to do with wool?

The french knots work so well to make the sheep - they're lovely!

Thanks Pam and Lyn. They really do work well, just the right amount of curly.

I think it is the perfect solution. Protects from the heat and adds a stylish touch.
