Great sunflowers Nattiegray.
Cathy yes on the back, with name tape. I was going to make my own but I couldn't fine my fusible web and there are no fabric store anywhere near me anymore. I found a roll of name tape at walmart. If I can find my fusible web I will make bigger ones so I can stamp my logo on too. I stamped it on the back of the canvas.

Your sunflowers are lovely! They really capture the essence of Van Gogh and his famous work.

Thanks for the tips--koffipot, Ann and Ruth.
Ann, I found cotton labels with paper backing at Blick's, which use an inkjet printer, much like name labels. You could probably get them on-line.

Great post. I would like to see Cathy's piece from an angled view so it shows how it looks on the stretcher bars. Also, Cathy, did you cover the back or leave it as shown on the blog? IMG_5777 by catwycliff, on Flickr I may have misunderstood the stretcher bar/felt wrap method of hanging. As you can see from the angled view, it now looks incomplete. Remedy? (Please don't say take it off the stretcher bars with all those heavy duty staples…!!!)

Cathy - I think it looks fine. You still show the nice organic edges of the felt but from the front view, you get the "cropped" version. I like it.
The sunflowers are beautiful - you captured the style of the painting so well.

Cathy, I wouldn't worry about it. My mom would say "don't worry about it, it's nothing a blind man on a galloping horse would notice"

As in "Don't sweat the small stuff".

Ruth I am full of odd saying from my mom and dad. Some have slang local to where I was born.

One of my favorites from childhood is "don't look a gift horse in the mouth…" except I always got it twisted to "don't look a gift horse in the eye…" Second one makes more sense to a child, right?

Yes they have no idea why you would look in a horses mouth. I didn't know till I was an adult.
