Very nicse vase and pods. Recently I made my first pod, using local 31 mic wool and lots of embellishments: silk, polyester fabric, viscose, and some other stuff which I found in my box. Being this my first pod I'm quite pleased. It is very studry and will hold the shape well. www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/33601701

Marilyn these are so gorgeous, and the colours from your dyed batts are work well together, they will love them :-) when you say you use silk hankies do you lay them over the last layer of wool before felting? I've only ever used silk hankies for flowers and making silk paper. Halay I love your pod, your style resonates with mine, have a look and here and you'll see what I mean - craftybeetle.wordpress.com/2014/03/10/felted-pods-inspired-by-underwater-themes/

Marilyn - you have been busy! I really like the vessel with the cut-outs and the colours work so well to enhance the design. The pods are not only attractive, they make really useful gifts. Have a good trip!

Thanks everyone! I was a bit conservative since they were gifts. They look nicer now they are finally dry. The cut outs were fun. Maybe next time pods with cut outs and more embellishments.
I love Nada and Carole's more elaborate pods. I'll have to try some more when I return.
Yes, Carole, I put the hankie over the last layer around the whole thing then finished felting.
Lyn, I used your tutorial! :-). Thanks!
