They all turned out great, Nada! I'm glad you enjoyed felting with them. I like the way they look all next to each other. I can't even pick a favourite there, I like what you did with all of them

It is great fun to experiment. It's good you had a project in mind to make use of them. I look forward to seeing the finished cushion. I've never heard of half of these breeds so it's great you shared them. Thanks.

Great pictures. It is fun to see how they all felt differently. I am trying to figure out how you got so many pictures in your post I can only ever get 3 in.

Nada, they all look great! I know that must have been a bit of fun, not only receiving the package but figuring out what to do with them. Which did you find the most difficult to felt? They will make a great, cosy cushion!

I've never heard of most of them, either. They all look wonderful! I think my favorite is the Finnish brown, but I would have to touch them all to really say which I like best.

Ann, I always put my photos on Ipernity first, resize them by 50% and import them into the forum message. Cathy, the ones that did not produce good felt in my opinion were Devon longwool and Texel (in my opinion) so I would never use them.

I love your samplers, the effects are so different, they each have a magic of their own, but I particularly like english 56 and texel :-)

Halay are they 2 you don't like spongy? they look like they might be. I think Texel is a down breed. The Devon looks very hairy. is that the wool or the embellishments.

The English 56s look so white. Are they really white in person? Our Domestic 56s are a cream color. I do like the texture of the Whiteface woodland. Is it soft?

Pandagirl, English 56 is creamy colour, just the same as others. Whiteface woodland is soft, same as Dorset horn. Ann, the two I don't like (Texel and Devon Longwool don't give a compact felt, they may look interesting but if you wanted to make slippers, or something wearable, e.g. a handbag, they don't wouldn't work well, I think, however, those who like a kind of spongy type of felt, my like them.

I have some kind of down wool that I am going to use as insoles for boots. I am hopping they will be comfy.
