Hi, I am from the midwest in the United States. I started out needle felting and now I have added wet and machine felting too. Recently I purchased the felted vessel book rosepink and I am anxious to try making a felted vessel. I finished dying the wool for that project this past weekend.
I also spin wool too.
I am anxious to learn new things in the felting world.

Welcome, Rather be Felting! We'd love to see your finished project. I'm sure you'll enjoy the vessel project. I just did Easter baskets using the Rosiepink book. They turned out great. There are pictures on the forum.
There are a couple of us in the Chicago area. Are you anywhere near?
Good luck on your vessel!

Welcome to the forum. We have a dying section here too so post some pictures of your dyed wool. we love pictures. Spinning is something I do a little too, mostly to make embellishments for my felt.

Welcome to the Forum! There are many talented felters here who will be of great support in your felt adventures. I am from Chicago and mainly do wet felting, although I occasionally also needle felt.

Hello and welcome! I hope you enjoy your vessel making - but be warned - it's addictive. There are just so many possibilities. Look at this link for some pretty pods and see that Carole agrees about the addiction. CAROLE'S PODS

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Also, thanks for the link to Carole's Pods, they are gorgeous. I can hardly wait until I can try making one of my own.
Pandagirl I am about 5-6 hours away from Chicagoland.

Thanks Rather be felting. I had the impression you're in WI. My sister lives in Friendship which I think is about that distance.
