I am on cloud 9 today, this morning I heard that one of the pieces I submitted to a juried show has been accepted. This is a first for me (I have never had a piece in an exhibition before, let alone a juried show), I'm so excited I can't sit still! Here is the piece they accepted: I have written a post on my blog about my inspiration and methods in case anyone is interested.

Well done!
p.s. Just popped over to your blog - love the way you show the development from idea to completion.

Very cool, Teri! At first glance, I thought you had knitted the vase with large needles (I am not a knitter!), so I was amazed to discover your methods on your blog. Kudos to you!

Huge congratulations Teri, you must be over the moon. Checked out your blog, really interesting, I was particularly interested that you dyed after you had created it looks wonderful :-)

Thank you all, I'm still deliriously happy and have to keep pinching myself to check I'm not dreaming. Definitely not knitted - I can't knit either!

Congratulations. are the warp and weft of the basket the same pieces?

They are separate lengths of cord but the cords were essentially the same dimensions for the warp and weft. Not sure how you can use the same length of cord for both?

I am not sure either but I have heard of doing it. I was hoping you knew. Weaving on a triangle loom you can do it but that's not 3D.

Will have to have a think about that, I assume you must start with at least half a dozen warp cords and then wrap them around each other some how? There's a challenge for my poor old grey matter...
