The circulation definitely helps dry the felt quicker. It's great it has dual purpose!

I think she meant 'clothes pegs' and yes they're what you'd call 'clothes pins'!

Thanks Judith - I thought it was some Brit term that I never heard of. I have heard of clothes pegs.

Lots of great (and cheap) ideas here, I don't really have much to add except my favourite tool for wetting out large nuno pieces is my garden sprayer, I found a chap selling them on ebay for £7 and for the cheapskate list, I cut the bottoms off bin bags (pedal-bin liners are great) and cut up the side to make sheets of plastic for rolling in or protecting my work surface from water / dyes. Though now I have seen Marilyn's suggestion of using cling film, the bin bags might get a rest...

Hey Teri - do you have a photo of your garden sprayer? I'd love to have one for the blog post I'm going to do.

Hi Ruth, I'd be happy to take a photo for you but not sure how to upload photos to the forum without posting it on my blog first - can you advise please?

terry click reply instead of using the quick reply box at the bottom. then use the add attachment button. it will let you ad 3 at a time. You can host them on flicker or photo bucket or other similar site if you like instead of your blog.

Ann's explained it for you. You can upload a photo right from your computer that way. The reply button is in the top right corner of the quick reply box. They don't have to be hosted anywhere else that way. But do try and keep the photo size a bit smaller. Or you could just e-mail me the photo if that's easier. Send it to laneruthe @ gmail.com (no spaces).

Sorry, I did mean clothes pegs. I do that so often, type vaguely similar words to what I mean, I usually catch them, though

It seems I have everything else but the lids and foot massager. :-) I have the same spray bottle and jug with holes that Lyn has. A lot of shoe storage bins and bowls for washing and rinsing. Besides the picture I ready posted of the fulling boards, here are the basics of my tools: View Attachment Oh and the evil felting machine... View Attachment :-) I do have a salad spinner and a ton of towels. There is tulle and mosquito netting at the top and two types of polyester curtain and mesh on the bottom. The large roll on the left is the solar pool cover, bamboo blind, a selection of pool noodles, bamboo mats, PVC tube, and the rolling pin. I have plenty solar cover left if anyone wants to try it. Perhaps instead of rolling with it, I should try rubbing on it with the bead board. Hmmm. Hi, Do you use you felting machine as much as you intended to use it when you got it or you think it is not as necessary as you would thought? Sometime I would love one, but then again, they are pretty expensive. I wonder if they are really worth the money. Thanks for you comments on this.

Crealou, I only bought the machine because I had spinal fusion surgery last April. It allows me to continue to felt when I have restrictions such as no lifting more than a gallon, no twisting, reaching or bending. I like the rolling, but can't do it for long and not with a lot of pressure. So, I start the process, then use the machine. I will probably keep the machine only because I'm not getting any younger. :-) But for people who really hate to roll, it's something to consider if you're willing to make the investment. It has it's drawbacks. It's not fully automated so you have to turn the knobs up and down to increase pressure and to take the roll out. If you're interested in learning more, I can PM you the website.
I'm glad I have it because I can still do what I love. :-)
