www.flickr.com/photos/109753804@N05/11975019056/This is the fourth vessel I created during a 3-day workshop at the Midwest Felting Symposium, University of Wisconsin, Summer of 2012. The course I chose was taught by an Icelandic felter/artist, Anna Gunnarsdottir, who proved to be an excellent and patient instructor. It was very challenging for me, as at that time I had only previously needle-felted. Later I embroidered the vessel and added beading. I will add other photos of the first three vessels soon.

Very pretty - I like the white with the blue accent and the beads you chose really complement the vessel. The way the white has misted over the blue is lovely.

Thanks, Lyn. I added a few resists for the blue accents. BTW, all of the wool was carried over from Iceland by our instructor!

Embellish to your heart's content. It is really up to you. Some people love to add lots of embellishments, others like just the simple felt.
The vessel is wonderful and I bet the class was fun even though it was a challenge.

I'm glad you got the pictures up. The vessel is beautiful. I think that's the great thing about classes even though it's a challenge you can get inspiration from others or it drives you in your own direction. It's great you continued to work on it afterwards. Nice job.

A very nice vessel indeed. I like the embellishments you have done. As Ruth says it's how every you like it. I've seen them with none and I have seen them completely covered. I can't wait to see the others.

Such a lovely vessel, well done. Working with resists gives another dimension and your bead embellishments are just right.

Thank you all so much for your comments. I really love taking classes, and they are so motivating, in addition to teaching skills I can definitely use! Do any of you have felting (or other) workshops you would recommend? I am willing to travel!

Luvswool, very nice vessel. I like the white and blue combination as well as all the embroidery you added later. What are you going to use it for?
