That's more or less what I do zed. It's difficult to explain.

Zed, I used a pencil for folding wool easier and more evenly (my fingers are not thin enough)and placed it onto the sheet and pressed it down with dry hands. Also, at the bottom i placed whisps of wool accross to make sure that the fibres stay in place. I'm glad you like my scarf and your idea of using a template was great.

The scarf turned out great Halay. I like the organic look, too.
Judith I've never seen a spiral scarf like that. It's really cool. I look forward to your tutorial as well.

I think you did a great Halay. I don't think my first one turned out that good. job great help Judith. I had forgotten about stretching the edges gently during the fulling process. It's been ages since I made one.

Experimenting is the key halay. That is the best way to learn - just try it. Even if it doesn't work as planned you will learn something.

I definitely agree with Ruth, it is interesting the things you learn if you take notice of what is happening. Often you learn more from what 'went wrong' than if it went well because you can look at what you did, and why it turned out like that, and what needs to be done for 'correcting'.

Lovely result! I never tried a scarf with scallop edges yet but with all the super explanations above it will give me faith to achieve a similar result. Congratulations.

I really like the size and shape of the scarf. Sometimes a long scarf just has too much bulk for the outfit you are wearing. Beautiful job.
