I am still doing experiments with mixed media fiber art that I can show to the high school art teachers in November. I decided to do a little wet felting in a zip lock bag. I figured that this would be an easy project for high school students and then I can figure out how to use it on a piece of fiber art. Well, this time I used hotter water and I got some really compact felt. I have done this before, but using the hotter water really made it sturdy. I think next time I will shape it like a rock and make some varied sizes.

Hot water will definitely help with felting. It's fun to use small rocks and cover them with felt.

that would work too. you can put the wool wrapped rock in the toe of a nylon and wet felt it really easily. It's hard to mess it up really.
