Just doing some stitching (good daylight) and I was having trouble focusing properly. So I thought 'Hmm, better get my stronger, close-to glasses on'.......then I realised that I already had them on!
Nooooo. I don't want to get any older.

I'm sorry Lyn, but I just had to have a titter!

Sorry Lyn - but I know just what you mean. After all the yurting, my body is really complaining. But getting older is better than the alternative.

You are so right Ruth. Dim eyesight IS better than the alternative.
p.s. I'm now 10 years older than the photo of me that is my avatar.....but I can't bring myself to update because I looked so much better then!

Didn't we all Lyn! My Facebook one is about 8 yrs old - my young grandson asked me "do wrinkles hurt grandma"? - "only when I look in the mirror" I replied!

Heh, you lot crack me up I do know what you mean, Lyn. I have one 'proper' pair of glasses and some cheaper non prescription glasses all around the house, a few times, I've reached for a pair to put on and realised I already had a pair on. I did get my eyes re tested last year, but went to a stupid Optician who messed it up and first made a pair which was blurry then made a pair that turns the world concaved.

Last winter whilst driving at night I couldn't see the road very well, so made an appointment with the optician as I thought 'Cataracts'!! My eyes were fine - came home and cleaned the headlights!! It must be an age thing!!!

I wish it was as easy as cleaning my eyes to see better. I have a pair in top of my head at all times. I can't read the screen or anything else with in arms reach without them.

At 72 years I am just laughing at all these comments. I took the test at the sleep clinic. I have to wear something to bed that looks like I am a space alien. I even have to wear a chin strap to keep my mouth closed while I sleep. Old age takes a lot of grace.

I used to have a pair on my head at all times, then decided it was easier to get varifocals with plain glass at the top.

I'm the same Ann, anything close is a blur. I wish I could give my eyes a good wipe at times. I have other weird vision problems which aren't eye problems, but I still wipe my eyes or blink as if that will help

Can't help but add my thoughts. My mom used to say" I don't mind getting old I justs don't like getting ugly." I am having a big birthday in two days and really wish my mother were still here so I could tell her that NOW I get it!
