Thanks Lyn. I'm not sure my hands think so. :-) I'm sure if if I did more often it would get easier.

It looks gorgeous Marilyn, you did an excellent job!
Can you take aspirin? I had occasional but getting more frequent bad pains in my left had last year and the Doctor said it was probably the start of arthritis, I hadn't realised it had gone away until I read an article about aspirin and arthritis. Coincidentally the doctor also told me that day to take aspirin as a headache preventative when I go out, so I'd switched from paracetamol.
I blanket stitched a large iPad/tablet cover yesterday with one length of thread, I got tangled a few times!

Thanks Zed. Unfortunately, I can't take aspirin because I take other antiinflamatories. Plus it makes my ears ring. :-(. I'm definitely impressed you did the iPad cover with one thread! I'll definitely do another project like that, but will probably wait until it gets warmer and my joints aren't screaming at me all the time. ;-)

So Zed where is this article? I just got diagnosed with arthritis in my hands. the doctor said to take Tylenol but to use Volatarin, a cream with aspirin in it, right on the joints.

Very pretty and the blanket stitch looks good. Lovely colour combo and texture! I don't think it needs a button.

Thanks Zed. I wish it were as simple as aspirin. The cold here is really taking its toll. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas in Florida with the grand kids. :-)

I know what you mean Marilyn. With the cold and wind it's hard to keep decent heat in my studio. I would head for Arizona or somewhere similar if I could, hot and dry.

My work area is cold, too, Ann. 60f about 15.5c. It's the arthritis and stiffness just moving around I hate. I'm not sure I'd head for AZ. I'm more of a water person myself. :-). I just need warm and a lake! I'm going to have to get the heater going soon! I think your weather is a bit cooler than ours right now. We're at 9 now and going down. Stay warm!

Arnica gel is a good, and natural, alternative to Voltarol gel. My cousin, was referred to the Orthopaedic surgeon with an arthritic hip. He was told that he was too young for a hip replacement - he's in his early 70s - and to get himself a bike. This he did, and rides it almost every day and says though it was hard at first, he is now feeling improvement!!

Sometimes I despair at Doctors/researchers etc for their inability to find half decent treatments, but then other days it seems like there needs to be as many different treatments etc as their are people with the same complaint.

Pandagirl, these are fantastic! I especially like your colour combination as well as the texture you got in the end. You mentioned ribbon felt: what does it mean exactly (perhaps this techniques has been mentioned somewhere else? Please explain.

Thanks Halay. I finally found the link Liz had put on the forum for her ribbon project. I used prefelt, she used roving for the base. We both used organza since it's loosely woven compared to regular ribbon. It was a fun project. I even made a vase using the same method. Let us know if you try it and post pics. Here's the link: lizseville.com/2013/05/22/ribbon-and-scrim/Have fun!
