I've been very inspired to try a number of new things reading forum member posts. Since having back surgery, I've been limited in activities but have done several small projects and learned a great deal. I had fun finding and felting rocks. I have plenty more to do, but I did these to go into a small bowl in my bathroom. From Ruth's book The Complete Photo Guide to Felting, I tried shells, marbles and stones in some batting I had around which was a deep green and blue mix. I think the blue roving I used to wrap them may have been too blue but I also used some of that same color and some gold throwster waste to embellish it. I have this one hanging up. I have to learn more about the camera, too, to get better pictures! I have also tried Ruth's ice dyeing and Zed's silk paper. Since I've met my picture limit I'll post other separately. Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank you all for continuing to inspire me! Marilyn Nelson

These are wonderful Marilyn. Thanks for posting them. I love the shell and I think that shot of bright blue is great in the bottom piece. Looks like you had fun!

The shell shape turned out particularly well.

These look very nice to me. I don't do a lot of felting as a mixed media artist, primarily. However I love seeing what is possible and get inspiration seeing everyone's ideas. Everything just goes into my brain like a sausage maker. You never know what will eventually come out.

Thanks Judy. That a great analogy. I do a lot of different things as well and am always looking for that new twist. :-). You never know where that inspiration will come from.
