Yet another bag! Well a girl can't have too many. Inspired by the video posted recently, it has hand dyed silk nuno squares, some glass beads which don't show up on the photo and a bit of top stitching. I couldn't decide on a handle, so tied on the silk scarf I made recently. I normally go for small bags, so I can't carry too much junk around, so this seems quite big for me. wet felted bag by koffipot, on Flickr

I just commented on this on flickr. now I see my comment does not make sense. I thought you had resist dyed the pattern on to the purse but now I see they are silk squares. I also asked about he scarf but you have answered that too. It is so hard to get a good picture of felt. may be an shot taken at a low angle would show up the beads more. It is very pretty.

Thanks for your comments. I made an orangey one too, but the handle needs some attention. Will post a pic.

I like the colours. You could do beading around the design on the right side so that it looks like its off center on purpose. I would do several rows and then maybe put a few in the nuno squares to tie it together.

That's a good idea Ann. thanks. Any ideas on the lumpy and twisted handle? I suppose I could just chop it off and make something completely different.

I can't see why/where it's wonky and doesn't lie straight. I really like that Once they have something in them bags never look 'neat' anyway. I don't know about the handle, could you re wet and try to straighten or maybe rub/roll it to make a thick 'rope'? Gorgeous colours

Thanks zed. I cut into it in the wrong place, so the handle wants to lie downover rather that upwards. I suppose with with a bit of wetting and working I might be able to re-shape it! No rush, it's for my "autumn collection"

I think re wetting it might work. I like Ann's idea about the design.

Well, I love it just as is. I am not bothered by lumps or bumps. I guess that is because I am old and have plenty of them. We all see imperfections in our own work that bother us. I guess that is a good thing, as it motivates us to keep improving. But to those who are not as experienced, they only see our work as something to be admired. Maybe that is a good lesson for life.
