Yes Ann your right. I made smaller ones to put on knitted alpaca hats. Those on the picture are quite big.

Gorgeous! I just love alpaca me too, more and more. Not too long ago I only liked the merino wet felting and did not like alpaca because the end result was not the same as merino. That was a big mistake from me. I was just expecting alpaca to act like merino. Alpaca has qualities that merino does not have and vice and versa!

That's the fun thing about using a bunch of different fibers. They all are unique and felt differently. They each have their own qualities and if you don't have expectations of what they will do, you can learn a lot and not get frustrated by what they don't do.

Before I tried alpaca I read lots of people saying it was difficult to felt. I think they must have meant it takes longer or felts differently to merino, but then, doesn't everything felt differently That's a good way to put it, Ruth
