Hi just thought I'd pop in here and day hello ... I've just joined as a rather klutzy new felter ... I can however knit ... ;D I particularly love lace weight and socks. I've also am the fond keeper of an Ashford Traddy (Providence or Pru for short). I don't get as much time to spin as I'd like but I'm getting better. I started off on a drop-spindle and swore I'd NEVER want to spin on a wheel. It's so therapeutic though and it fascinates my kids!

I'd love to see some photos of what you have knit or spun! I have done a very small amount of spinning with a drop spindle but I don't knit at all.

They all look really nice. I am very jealous of your many shawls. I spin a little on drop spindle and I have an ashford traveler. I also don't knit. I like to spin small amounts to use in felting. I do have lots of little skeins form demoing at different events.

I do not crochet or knit. But I do paint. About 30 years ago I did a swap. I had a lady crochet a beautiful shawl for me and I did a painting for her. I am still wearing this shawl and it looks brand new. It is a large circle. I think it is back in style now. lol

oh wow your shawls are gorgeous, and i have to say i really love the last one best to, its funny but i havent picked up a pair of knitting needles since i started felting, i used knit on a daily basis and your making me want to pick up those needles again, the one your making for yourself is absolutely beautiful xo I've done a little bit of spinning from a drop spindle and really enjoyed that but i would never use what i spin to make something so precious as a shawl lol i have to buy the yarn for that xo
