I have just seen the weather forecasted for the US and Canada, I know you are used to more cold and snow than we are in the UK, but this sounds Dire. Please everyone stay safe and warm. Here's hoping we all have a warm, cosy and Crafty Christmas and don't get stuck in the snow - anywhere.

We have high winds and snow at the moment. We had snow then rain then a flash freeze earlier. We lost power for 13 hours but we have a generator so we were ok. Jan didn't lose hers. I haven't heard about Bernadette or Carlene.

It's the winds that do the damage or if you get freezing rain. Snow isn't a big problem. The wind blows the snow so you can't see on the road and it topples trees and sometimes hydro poles. I think Ruth has a generator too. Carlene and Bernadett are fine. I heard from them. Today (Christmas day) it is calm here and just a little snow on and off.
Happy Holidays everyone.

I'm fine, it's been very cold and snowy. We traveled to Sandpoint Idaho for Christmas. Heading home today.

We had freezing rain all the way home from Idaho. We got stuck on the road (only one way to go) when a car in front of us hit a utility pole and knocked live electrical wires across the road. Luckily, it only took about 30 minutes sitting and waiting. Now it's above freezing and things are melting and creating crazy ice. Fun, fun.

Montana's snow and ice had been on the news over in the UK and it was very worrying. At least you're not in Buffalo. Now all you need to do is not get washed away in the rain!
