Wow Ruth that's the fastest entry to a challenge yet! How many days are there to your collage challenge? Everyone will see your collage differently but I see a garden - the background is 'tree bark', the middle ground is 'lichen' and it's tied together by the colour of your cut-out flower that echoes the 'tree bark'. Very pretty! btw - at first I thought you'd done this collage on 7th January then I remembered that there is a different date format in the USA

I was about to add a photo to the Community area on the Studio, however, for some reason I am unable to do so. On clicking the choose file button and selecting the photograph from my pc I just end up with a small red square with a cross in it. I was going to do that as I thought we'd been requested not to post them on the Forum because of space/cost constrictions. Also I'm not sure how to actually upload and add them here. I've checked the FAQs on here but they don't seem to help now as I don't use any of the social network apps so can't upload from them. My drop box is getting very full so I'd really rather not add any more to it so that I can just give a link here for people to follow. How frustrating, cos I do have something for this challenge which I made some time ago and I thought that I could post a photo to sort of cover for me while I have a go at something new for it.

Yes Lyn, that is where I tried to post my pictures. I've just tried again from your link and got the same result: a black square with a red dot in the middle containing the "X" and nothing else. However, in case that is what it usually does I have completed the details in the description box and confirmed that I'm not a robot and sent it on. I don't know how long it will be before it arrives wherever it's supposed to but we'll see what happens. I should say that the form didn't give me anywhere to say that it was for the 3rd challenge gallery so when I had a look at the community gallery page to see what if anything had arrived there was nothing to see but the list of different galleries already there.

It now seems that I was doing it right - the photo is up on the Community gallery page. It was the first time I had tried to post a picture there and I obviously didn't know what I was doing. The photo shows 3 flower and 1 oak leaves and acorns scarf stick pins. As I mentioned earlier, these were scarf pins that I had made some time ago and I was hoping that they would cover for me if I didn't get as far as making something new for this challenge.

Glad you persevered Ann! The flowers and oak sprig make wonderfully pretty accessories. The beads give the felt a bit of 'bling' and the acorns on the oak sprig are perfect.

I have to upload the photo to the page once you have submitted it. It doesn't do it automatically. I'm not sure why you were getting a red x since it worked. Technology is a funny thing.
I added your photo to your post above.

I forgot to say that your flowers are beautiful Ann and I especially like the oak leaves.
Lyn, the collage challenge lasts all summer until the beginning of September.

I added your photo to your post above. Thanks Ruth. I think that I may have ended up uploading a larger picture than I intended. When I thought there was something wrong I wondered if the problem was that I was trying to post a photo that I had resized to less than 1MB and so tried the original, which is what I think must have posted as it does look very big. Anyway, we got there in the end. Thanks

Thank you for persevering. The flowers and leaves age lovely. Technology can be very frustrating at times. Thank you Ann. Yes I hate clever machines. The self service tills in our local Co-op almost always refuse to give me a receipt and I have to get a long-suffering assistant to make it perform. I have just had another go at posting a picture of my stumpwork Ivy on a Stone Wall. Hopefully it will get to Ruth so she can put it on for me here as well.
I am gong to try adding the picture here for you.
