Thanks Ruth. They were done years ago when I hadn't even heard about making felt.

Another option is to find pre-made frames that you like and make your pictures in the proportions to fit the frames. These tend to be much cheaper than bespoke frames and some are good quality (some are not!). Try the local charity shops, you can usually get lots of frames for peanuts. As Lindsay says, some are good quality as they are, those that are not can sometimes be revived with a lick of paint. Try painting a frame and picking out any surface decoration with another colour - to compliment your picture. Yes, that was to be my next stop: charity shops to get frames! I managed to find some canvases that are cheap and fit some of my paintings, but others have strange sizes and it is hard to find the right size of cheap canvases for them. Today I went to check another Poundland, but no luck. Bought the Velcro strips, and the picture hooks, they will be delivered in the next days. Checked our Canon camera, to take professional looking photos of the paintings, and it is not working properly (sigh), we need to understand if it is the charger or the battery that is gone. Also I am looking for the lights, as some of you (Ruth?) suggested in a post about photographing felt. Tomorrow I work (my real job, that is) , but maybe on Friday the charity shops could be the thing. :-) I am reconciled with taking small steps each week by thinking that they are steps nonetheless :-D
