Hi Everyone!
Thank you for accepting me into your group. I'm retired and currently enjoy rug hooking and refinishing furniture and would like to start felting. I've purchased a good amount of supplies for it, watched several videos and bought some nice felting books but just haven't jumped in yet even though I have a pile of really pretty wool staring at me. I would like to do needle and wet felting and am hoping to learn from this group of experienced felters.

Hello there and welcome to the forum. With regard to wet felting, my advice to you is to just jump in. Make a small piece of wet felt. It doesn't matter what it looks like. No-one but you has to see it. By doing this you will learn so much and it will give you the confidence to continue.

Be warned though - you'll be jumping down the rabbit hole! Make sure you've got a few hours to spare. There is so much information on here and everyone is always so helpful with hints, tips and answering your questions. If you haven't already found it, do have a look at the Studio too - that's where you'll find tutorials amongst lots of other rabbit holes! feltingandfiberstudio.com/
