I've made a 60's hippie-style crocheted top and Annie has made a colourful floral pod. If you'd like a bit more detail here's the blog post

I do love a good fringe. Now you need a pair of bell-bottom hip huggers in a floral print.

Don't laugh Ann but I did make myself some bell-bottom trousers in the late 60's - I felt like the bee's knees!

Don't laugh Ann but I did make myself some bell-bottom trousers in the late 60's - I felt like the bee's knees! Me too. I had a pair of yellow cords which were straight legged so I undid part of the seam on the outside of the legs and inserted a concertina of different fabric to make the flares. I loved them.

I used to crochet when I was a schoolgirl, and did many, many, squares that were turned into clothes, many shawls and blankets too. The great thing about squares is that a lot of odd pieces of yarn can be used up with a great result. My sister in law had a crochet mini-dress that caused many raised eyebrows during visits home - think rural, catholic Ireland. We youngsters were in awe of it and very jealous too. Love your top Lyn, very 60s. Your vessel is lovely too.

The squares are so versatile and I think they are making a comeback very quietly.

I love these. My older sister used to crochet fringed tops like those in the 60's and my younger sister and I loved dressing up with them. Wish I still had one. The vase is lovely. Beautiful colours.

It's colourful, pretty and organic in design - and that pretty much sums up a lot of the sixties stuff!
