Hi everyone. I've been off grid for a while due to a family bereavement, but I was still working on some things over summer. I was asked by a friend to do something Scottish so, as I love thistles, I thought I'd try some wet felt/ needle felt pictures. This is my first attempt, which I thought was ok, but the thistles weren't distinct enough. www.dropbox.com/s/nfh3t4nn1iyk1em/20210922_110400.jpg?dl=0This was my second attempt which I am much happier with. www.dropbox.com/s/qe7z3dxc4u02hrk/20210917_123345.jpg?dl=0Sorry if the pictures aren't great. I find taking photos of them quite difficult. I agree that it probably is a good time to start thinking Christmas as coming up with ideas and creating them takes time. I love both your thistles paintings, but my heart is with the first one, as I find it dreamy and it feels with more depth to me than the second one. The second one must have been quite a lot of detailed work and is lovely, very rich.

Thanks Caterina. They are both quite different, I think.

I really like both of these pictures. Although the thistles may not be as clear as you'd like in the first picture, I actually prefer the colours you've used in that one.
