Hello!
I have wet felted three new very easy scarves, to improve my wet felting, rubbing and also to try easy additions.
This one in green is very traditional and I want to gift it to my uncle, who asked me a green felted scarf:

I am quite pleased with how it came out, and with the uniform smoothness that I achieved with the rubbing.
This one is in blue:

I really loved the colour and how it came out, but..I was so in love with the colour that I did not plan the design, then thought that I could add something later: the addition did not come out as I wanted, so I am learning that I should plan ahead.
Here is the addition: needle felted flowers.

The composition is somehow wrong, the sprig seems to have the wrong shape and probably the choice of pink against the blue was not a good one, all said and done. I am not sure if any further addition may salvage it, I doubt it. What do you think about it? How may I salvage that wool and bits, or something?
As it was meant as a gift to my aunt (to complement her blue eyes and all that) I started again with the same blue wool and made another one, planning ahead the design this time:

I just added sari silk on the two endings: it was my first try with silk decoration and I was afraid it might take ages to felt, and maybe not felt too well, so I wanted only a small very simple addition:

Well, maybe the colours and light in the photos are a bit off, not as dark as in the first photo and not as bright as in the second one!
I was pleased with the silk decoration, so that was the scarf that got wrapped as gift for my aunt. (It was a bit less uniformly made as the other blue one, because I got kind of impatient to have it done :-) but I am sure that my aunt will appreciate the handmade quality of the felt :-))
