Hello.
I would like to ask you for your opinion.
My last scarf does not show very well in photo, because it has a lot of "brushes" with a pale beige wool that are lost in the pic and really make a difference.

I like it, but now I wish I had made the circle shapes as prefelt bits to add, instead of felting all at the same time: the circles mostly lost their shape, becoming something more like flowers, a bit wobbly looking. I think that is because of the different thickness and of the layout of those fibres in relation to the bottom layer on which I put them: shrinkage of the bottom layer must have affected their shape and deformed it...I think?
I laid out one layer of white merino horizontally, then I put on top of it my design in a random pattern crossing the bottom layer. The scarf did come out very thin, just as I wanted, but with the coloured circles sticking out a bit more than I was expecting them to.

During the rubbing stage, it was a bit hard to make the coloured bits stick to the bottom layer, as they were thicker. Especially the circles. Anyway, I rubbed and pinched them and rubbed them again and again, making sure everything was stuck before going on with the rolling: I was surprised when the circles lost their shape and popped up of the surface after drying a bit! Suddenly everything was very wavvy.
It's not that I do not like the result, it is just that it did not come out quite as I thought. :-) I will have another go at trying in the next few days. Just, I am not sure where it all went wrong.
