Lyn, I wasn’t able to comment on your blog again. I have to say I’m impressed by all the work that went into this hat. Kudos!!

I love your hat Lyn, it is wonderful. It looked kind of painful to stitch but I'm sure it will be well worth it. Thank you Ruth - once I got into it I rather enjoyed making it!

In case anyone is impressed by my hat stand I have to confess that it's an old Ikea desk lamp with the lamp part removed and replaced with a kitchen sponge impaled on the sharp end to support the hat.

I love your hat too. Makes me wish the zig zag on my machine worked.

Lindsay, maybe make something for someone else? Thanks, Ann. Alas the ‘wearing wool on or near skin’ intolerance runs in the family and the people it doesn’t affect (eg husband) really wouldn’t appreciate it! Of course I could make something for a friend or to sell and indeed might do so. I’ve just moved studios and alas couldn’t get the shelves constructed before all my stuff had to go in so I have a totally chaotic & unworkable space at the moment which will be my priority as soon as I can open the door! I have 2 more weeks selling in the harbour hut this month so will probably end up waiting till quarter 4 before I’m able to have a go. I’m enjoying seeing what everyone else makes, though.

Moving studios is always such a big job. I hope the harbour sales go well. Life is funny. I seem to be iether at a dead stop or full run.

It's very feminine and pretty Ruth - it will certainly keep the autumn chill at bay so the challenge is done! I enjoyed reading your process on the forum's blog and although the yellow didn't perform as you thought it might, it does add interest to the crown.

Ruth I admire your persistance in making a hat that way and making it work.

Fabulous hats ladies! Your daughter looks great in her snail hat Jo. I did Teri’s online class some time back and you’ve reminded me that I’ve still not made the snail hat yet so that’s now on my “get on with it” list!

Lovely scarf Karen. It's cold here too. But supposed to warm back up next week again. Glad you got the link to Instagram to work!

That looks so stylish Karen (love the colours and design) and I bet it's very warm and cosy.
