hi everyone,
my name is Adriana, and i'm from the world (long story) and i've spend a few years in Ireland where i got totally in love with all things sheep. Not only did i get to test and work with different wool but also got to milk and make cheese out of some fresian sheep there. and since i came to live in Chile i have got myself some local sheep and started felting with their wool (i also milked them but that is not why i am here). i am really eager to learn as much as possible about this newly found passion. my sheep are black faced suffolk breed and also got two fresian mix. i will experiment with this wool for a while but looking forward to getting some different breeds to try. in ireland we had shetland, jacob, texel and mountain black faced breeds and shetland was definitely my favourite, mostly because of the great colour variety.
i focus on wet felting since it is the hobby that requires the least amount of tools (and i also don't know how to knit) and so far i am loving it. i have made slippers, gloves, handbags, a big coat (that is very stiff but i love it!), hats, a saddle blanket, and i even tried to copy the mongolian felting method rolling the wool with horses.
