Hi all, I would like to use this forum the correct way. If I was, for instance, interested in seeing any of your work, would I look under any specific thread title? Or would I find a place that has a thread for "posts?" If I wanted to share something I made for comments and suggestions, would I start a new thread? And when it was done and ancient, would I remove it or would one of the moderators do So? So.. Is there such a thing as a post, or is it all done under individual threads? And where do I find new threads that people like me want to use to share our experiences with? Thanks for the help for this newbie! Caryn

Hi Caryn
Hope I can help!
In some ways the terminology doesn’t matter but basically if you go to the home page (top left under the header) you can see different boards which are categories ie Forum Information, Fibers, Felting, Mixed Media, Challenges... Business... & Off Topic.
Each board has sub-categories. So, on the Felting Board for example there are 4 sub-categories: Tutorials, Tips & Techniques, Nuno Felting, Needle Felting & Wet Felting.
Click onto a sub-category and you will find lots of threads. I think of these as separate conversations. If you’re showing something you’ve made that’s not specifically related to an existing conversation, then start a new thread. I mostly do wet felting so often start threads in that area. If you’re joining an existing conversation you go to the end of that thread and write a comment then press either post quick reply (bottom left) or reply (top right). Quick reply will immediately post what you’ve written, Reply allows you to add things eg photos or review what you’ve written and you then need to post it.
Any new thread might be show & tell. Less formally, there’s a section on the ‘Challenges/Swaps/Other Fun Stuff‘ board with the title ‘Other Challenges’ where there is a monthly ‘Daily Dose of Fibre’ section. This is where people chat about what they’re up to Instead of creating a new thread.
Does that make sense?
I’m now pressing the ‘post quick reply’ button......
