I've seen mention of plasti-dip and other substances used. Id like to know if anyone has used a brush on or spray on product that worked well and lasted long.
It seems I've got a few daughters in need of slippers, and I think most will need non-slip bottoms. Hmmm. Has anyone tried puff paint? I used to use that on socks.
Happy holidays to all!

I have used plasti-dip and it works fairly well. The spray on kind works better than painting it on. I now use leather soles that I stitch in place. They last much longer. They are not non-slip though.

Thanks MTRuth. About the longevity of plasti-dip, when it does wear out, is it something that can be re-done? I dont think I'd want to use it if it actually ended the life of the slippers when it gets worn out. Maybe someday I'll go to leather soles. For now, I'm trying to keep my kit tiny and I can envision leather calling for more stuff to haul around. Then there is also the danger of finding I love leather and adding a whole 'nother crafting thing to my space-limited life.

Yes, you could re-do the Plasti-dip as it starts to wear down. If you use it, make sure you do so outdoors, it has loads of bad fumes.
