Ha, ha. The horse hotel was worse than I’d expected (and my expectations were pretty low). The biggest problem was that the room was home to a lot of mosquitoes and I got very comprehensively bitten. I’m normally very careful not to get bitten as I tend to react badly but it hadn’t occurred to me for a second that there’d be mosquitoes in November, when there was frost on the ground, so I had no repellent or treatment and there was no shop in the village. On the up side it was a short and lovely walk to the venue and didn’t spoil the overall experience.

Nope. I would not have thought about packing mozzie repellent in November!
Glad you had a good time at the workshop in spite of the bites - lovely blog post.
I looked up the horse hotel near the Atelier - there were lots of photos of horses having a lovely time but no photos of the accommodation for humans......wonder why?

Thank you, Lyn & Ruth. Glad it’s not just me who isn’t aware of the winter mosquito! If I went to the same place again I’d book accommodation earlier, or walk further, or hire a car or use taxis or....commute from London, well, just about anything.
