At last! I've created my own website! I used a free software and done everything myself so it may have some glitches still. Anyway I'm very pleased at the moment and proud of myself ! I will try to move my blog there as well but it's still a work in a progress I'm afraid. The address is below and in my signature. Web site Link

Aha! Anonymous comments are not allowed at the moment so the person who want to comment should log in their Google account or Facebook or to Wix. I know it's a pain and try to do smth to allow to comment anonymously but haven't got there yet.

Looks good and you did a great job creating it yourself. Lots of work goes into it I know Will you be able to sell off your site or are you staying with ETSY? Did you find wix fairly easy to use?

Will you be able to sell off your site or are you staying with ETSY? At the moment all the software I use is free, that's why such a silly domain name It could be upgraded to include other features, such as a proper domain name, shopping cart etc. I do not sell through internet a lot and always refer a customer to ETSY even if asked directly, especially if it's a new customer. I think that people prefer to deal with some formal selling platform and so do I as a seller. Did you find wix fairly easy to use? Yes. I managed to have it finished for 2-3 evenings, quite quickly. The hardest part was to make up my mind on the design, the features, the pictures. It is very basic site I agree, but I need a website professionally, just to be able to provide a link when I apply to shows and fairs. I believe this one will serve the purpose fine.

Brilliant Galina, very professional looking. I've had my website account set up for the last 6 months but haven't set it up yet, as I keep putting it lower on my actions list. You might just have encouraged me to put it more to the top of my long list!

Thank you Antje! I do need a website just as a showcase to add to my applications. See you at Masham!

Absolutely love the website, Galina. Thoroughly enjoyed looking at all your lovely work. I found the site itself very easy to use. I particularly like that you can scroll through blocks of small thumb nail pictures to find what you want to look more closely at or look at everything close up through the slide show. I’m very impressed that you’ve made this yourself. Well done!

Thank you Lindsay! It was easy to make using ready made templates, much easier than decide on design, colours, texts, pictures etc. I wanted to have it finished in a few evenings so went for a traditional straight forward design. Now I think I should have thought it through better but do not want to go back and do it again

You can always update it and make changes later. Once you see how it works for a while, you'll see what is needed. But give it 6 months to a year. It's always good to give things a fresh look occasionally.
