Hi Josie,
I was trying to get rid of your two blank posts and mistakenly deleted the wrong one. I am so sorry. Please send me your link and I will post it for you.

Hi Ruth,
I was actually using my laptop for recent attempts. I could not attach photos with my iPhone. B. What link do you want me to send? Photo? Thanks

I posted Josie's link above to show her recent felt work. She was asking me what I thought about finishing it and how to hang it. She would like people's opinions on that.

Wonderful colours and texture! I like the way you blended the wool so that the colour melts from dark to light in the background.
You could just walk away now without doing anything else - however if you're itching to add more how about some hand stitches?
With regard to hanging, do you already have loops on the top?

Nice piece. I like the stitching you've already done. You could do more if you wanted to without distracting form the whole thing but I don't think it needs it. I like the loops you've made but I think I would space them evenly. When they are uneven it makes me feel like its tipped.

Beautiful Josie. I love the vibrant colors , texture and movement. Honestly I don’t know what I’d add. As Lyn suggested perhaps some stitching to add more movement and cohesiveness. However, even if you didn’t. It’s a lovely piece.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I do have more handstitching and beads to add but not too much more. The loops at top are not permanently fixed yet. I was hoping to get more feedback from you as I have not hung a felt project before. Agree with Ann that the loops would.look best if evenly spaced. A friend also told.me she felt hanging would look too crafty. Do you agree? Ruth also sent me the link for how to finish work for hanging. Thanks again!

I love this Josie...beautiful.I like the asymmetrical tabs.. they create an unexpected interest...and you could expand on them with the hanging by bringing in another element that is completely unexpected...threaded through with rope or chain and bound to your framework (when I said unexpected, I did not mean unrelated though)...my thoughts on mountings are that they need to be part of the piece of artwork if they are to be seen...ie whatever is used should relate to the work it is holding....otherwise I think mounting should be out of sight...that's just my opinion. Can I ask; do you have a theme in mind with this artwork?...because that could give a clue to the way it is hung.

lomahfelt - thanks for your feedback. My feeling for this piece is like an "underwater city". It may not look like a city but that's my theme. It's the first time making a piece like this so that's why it's such a challenge to figure out how I want to hang it. My cousin who does metalwork is making a piece using a 6 gauge wire with similar color feel. I still have not decided if it will work for this piece or if I should hang it flat using some of the ideas shared with me by Ruth. I guess the asymmetrical tabs would be unexpected. I still might want to mount it to something to give it more stability even if I hang with the piece my cousin is making. I'm going to the art store next week to see if anything interest me.

My feeling for this piece is like an "underwater city". It may not look like a city but that's my theme. Yes....it is very underwater city....I wanted to ask if it was a reef but didn't in case I was way off the mark and it was your garden!!! I would love to see it along with the metal work.

Sure, I will share the metal work when it's finished and I'm able to put the 2 together. Stay tuned! Josie

Josie, when you're happy that your underwater city is finished, would you be able to post a picture of it in '2019 Third Quarter Challenge' 'Studio Challenges'.

Lyn, I would be happy to post to the challenge. I was just reading the guidelines yesterday but did not realize this work was appropriate. THanks
