I guess nobody is doing anything in June?

Not as much as I'd like. Lots going on that keeps me away from my 'makings', but I still stick with your 5 mins a day Ruth even if it's just turning textile ideas over in my mind. It also helps to keep me sane just thinking about fibre stuff.

I know what you mean Lyn. I am working at the store 11 days in a row because of employee issues. The joys of small business ownership. I do something at least 5 minutes a day too. This morning I carved a bit more on my linocuts.

Although I’m out of the country....totally chillin’ on holiday in oh so wonderful warm sunny weather, with nothing to do (jealous yet?)....I’ve been to an artists's studios open w/e, exploring art websites I seldom have time for, 'pinning' ideas and reading about new techniques....oh and taking 'arty' photos. I think I’m in artistic credit for a few weeks! Oh and I’ve finally started Instagram (I know I’m decades behind everyone) my aim to post one photo a day for a year!!!

It has been a very busy start to the month. I have 2 hats started but not even half done. and have done a little on my seascape I will get to do more at the guild social tonight. What I have done 5 min of each day is a set of shoe laces for myself. I will try to get a picture and post it.

Enjoy Antje! I’m not even doing that but wish I were. Not much happening here other than reading and thinking.

I’ve been away looking after family things but I’m going back into the studio today for the first time in a while and am looking forward to it. I’ve made a seascape background and will be working on a bird (ringed plover) to put in the picture.
As my family lives within striking distance of World of Wool’s shop (and distribution centre) I did manage to nip over there for a rummage in the remainder skips and to pick up some wool I wanted. I’m also a big fan of charity shops / thrift stores and found a couple of nice silk scarves to add to the boxes I already own!

Thanks Ruth. In terms of being creative I’m stitching on a Felt piece - the travel cloth that I posted about, and in this case it is living up to that description. I've been adding the overlay pattern, except I’ve changed my mind about the actual stitching used and will need to unpick & redo the earlier stitching. Oh yes, I'm also playing carefully with colour....trying to go home with a subtle tan! Being blonde (slightly more grey now!) I burn easily hence the careful approach.

Looking forward to seeing the travel cloth. Nice to be able to tan a little, good for your vitamin D.

I've just bought some Schmetz Double Eye Needles. Each needle has two holes, one atop the other, so there are possibilities to experiment with different colours and weights of thread.
Anyone else tried them?

I haven't tried double eye needles. I look forward to hearing about your experiences.
