Inspired by Ann and Lindsay I just had to make a pot inside a pot before getting down to the things I should be doing. I used a double resist that was more oblong than round and had a reasonable neck joining the two oblongs. I wanted the length so that most of the light would shine through the sides rather than the top. Purple outside and orange inside.
Fun to do, I need to be more careful with the cutouts but I don't think my 11 year old grandson will mind

That’s great, Pamster. It’s good that we’re inspiring each other to try out new things. Let us know what your grandson thinks.

Very nice Pam! I think that contrast in colors is really good and the shape is nice too.

It's a great shape for a light and a neat colour combo Pamster - did you choose the colours specifically for your grandson? What kind of light are you going to put inside?

Looks really cool. I like the orange haze at the top. It should make a great night light. What are you using for a light?

Great vibrant colour combination. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see your grandson's face when he gets his new light.

Thanks Lyn, the purple was for him and I chose the orange for contrast and to allow more light to come through. Ikea sell battery operated LED lights that are round, about 7cm diameter, and very inexpensive
