Gail has asked me to post her 1st Quarter Challenge entry so here it is: Here is what Gail has to say about her piece: This was my first attempt at a landscape. I've been felting on and off for 5 years, mostly making bags. The first photo I took a few years ago which was my inspiration for my landscape. I used silk hankies for the yellow and orange sky because I wanted it to shine. The white sun was a circle cut from pre-felt. The white in the mountains represents the fog which we so often see here in the mountains of western NC.
