A few of you may remember how excited I was to be finally getting the chance to teach my own workshop before it all got cancelled, unfortunately culminating in the tearoom closing down.
I said at the time I would make it happen, well I got off my backside and I have made it happen. I found a superb venue, advertised and I now have five lovely ladies booked in for the six spaces on my November workshop
Whilst this was going on I was asked by the owner of a lovely newly opened tearoom if I would do a workshop there too. Spaces are limited there but all is going well with bookings there too. This one is a month before, in October. Here is the link.

My November workshop is a different price as I will not be providing lunch. I will be providing home baked treats though!
Both workshops are in Keswick in the beautiful Lake District. If I can tempt anyone to either workshop please contact me through the details as stated on the link.
Many thanks Tracey

Wonderful! It always helps to just keep working until you make it happen. Have fun on your workshops and do take some photos so you can write a post about it

Very well done Tracey! It is said that the harder one works, the luckier one gets. I think you've proved that.
Workshops I've attended supply a home baked cake or biscuits and participants are asked to bring a packed lunch.

Thanks Ruth!, yes blogs will be made!
Thanks Lyn!, a packed lunch is an option, the venue also has an on site bistro, and we are close to tearooms and a supermarket. I have all the info covered for my students.

I’ve taught lots of things (I’m a qualified mental health first aid trainer, for example, and in my early career taught English as a Foreign language) but not felting before. My 7 Oct workshop is full (8 people) so I’m organising a second date for February. Exciting new venture. I’ve found (so far) that I recruit most people through my exhibitions.

I had one lady sign up on the spot at my craft fair.
I have never taught, but I cannot wait. I wanted to keep it to six people.

Good to start with a small group until you get your feet under you. I wouldn't do more than ten to twelve and 5-6 is a much better number.

Thanks Ruth, I agree. I would rather have to do more classes with a lower number of students, more manageable.

Congratulations to both of you. I really enjoy teaching. Students are always enthusiastic and so exited to learn. I am sure you will both be great teachers. You are always very helpful hear and explain yourselves well. My only advice is if you are going to hand out instructions do it at the end of class. If you hand then out at the beginning some will try to read ahead and not listen to instructions. Good luck and have fun
