I was about to make a Christmas card for friends when I spotted this Robin in a shop. The body is polystyrene. Given time, this is something that could be made from scratch. I thought instead of a card it would be a bit of fun to give one of these, so I dressed him up with a needle felted hat, scarf and a present and a felted card tucked under his wings!
UPDATE - Please see my second post for pictures.

Really cute Tracey! I tried to get a photo to show from DropBox and couldn't get it to work. Do you have any other social media type accounts? You can share any photos from Facebook or Instagram or Pinterest. I'll research a little more about DropBox to see if there's something we're missing.

The forum help says that the free accounts on DropBox don't allow this kind of photo sharing. You can share the link but the photo won't show here.

He is great Tracy. I love how English robins are like little balls.

Thanks Ann. I think your Robins are more like our Thrush or Blackbirds, they seem to be much bigger and leaner. Our Robins are quite brazen, they suddenly appear if you are eating outdoors. Only yesterday we were sharing some banana with one.

Only yesterday we were sharing some banana with one. The American robin is in fact a type of thrush and not closely related to European robins, which are flycatchers. Americans robins are so named because of their reddish breasts like the European ones. In New Zealand, we have the North Island robin and the South Island robin, which were called robins because of their similar size and shape to the European ones, not because of their coloring. The ones here are dark gray/black and oh so cute!

Robin, thanks for the bird information, I didn't know they were different birds in different countries.

Thanks Robin. I didn’t know about the different specie either. Our robins are a bit brazen and let you know when you haven’t filled the feeder. But I’ve never had one take food from me.
