Pamster - I think your card beautiful. I can most certainly see that they are stars. Definitely has that Christmas-vibe to it. It seems like each technique of felting has it's own little universe of ways to achieve what you want. Thank goodness we have all these lovely people on the forum to help us, hehe. I'm really looking forward to receive your card. I already know where to hang it. Your card is laying next to me, all finished and ready to be sent first thing in the morning the 2nd - I haven't been able to send it earlier. Sorry about that. Thanks Stargazer, I just hope you like the one I did send. No need to apologize for sending it on the 2nd, it will be lovely to receive your card whenever it gets here. Also, you are so right about all the lovely people on the forum. As a novice I can read, I can look at pictures and I can watch YouTube videos but being able to ask questions of people who take the time to answer is just the best!!!!

I received my card from Ruth today!, but as I got back too late (dark) I would like to have a go a photographing it in the daylight, I did have a go but I would like to show it at it's best.
Thank you so much Ruth it is just wonderful! I love the stitching, very envious!, and I hope you will do the honours and explain to me and everyone how you have created it, when I post it.
I will post it tomorrow.

Tracey - so glad you got the card. It is made with nuno felted paper fabric lamination. The leaves were laminated on to the polyester organza, then nuno felted. I then stitched around the leaf and berry design with free motion stitching. I painted the berries with acrylic paint.
I'm glad you like it but I agree, it is hard to take a photo for sure. The organza seems to confuse the camera.

Lovely card Ruth. Anything shiny or sparkly seems to be hard to get a good picture of. The light bounces funny. I mailed mine to Rhonda Yesterday. I had it finished to late on Friday. I popped a couple of goodies in to make up for being late. Ann

Hurrah, I got my lovely card from Marilyn yesterday - I needed cheering up after a tooth extraction, and this certainly did the job: Marilyn card 1 by Anne Hickley, on Flickr And here's the back: Marilyn card 2 by Anne Hickley, on Flickr Gorgeous Christmasy colours and glittery bling! Thanks Marilyn! (Like your panda paper too!) It will take pride of place on the bookcase along with Jifke's card from last year, once we have all our decorations up.

Loved Tracey's card, Ruth! How did you manage to felt into the organza and keep it flat? Little or no fulling? Or some other magic method I don't know? :-)
