Thanks Ann. Yes I do have the instruction book. I was just curious about how others did their FME. I guess our machines are all quite different, and we get used to doing things in a certain way.

I still haven't tried it. No one wants to 'ruin' their paintings at the well being centre, so I suggested we make plain pieces in a couple of weeks to practise on those. Now we just need to find the key for the cupboard with the machine pedals!

Zed, a good practice piece is to use really thick interfacing. You can just start on the white stuff and it's about the same thickness and hardness of felt. Then you can progress to felt once you are feeling more adventurous.
