In case anyone missed the edit I made to my blog post, here's the little video I made showing how to make wool tubes on a kebab skewer.

Cheers, everyone Yeah, I had a big pile of the 'leftovers' kebabs and looking at them realised they'd make a good alterntive to yarns as they could be thinner and easier to felt in. I made some on knitting needles and dowels recently and took them to the well being centre, the 'tree trunks in snow' pieces everyone made were brilliant. For the last few weeks mine have been put to shame!

I've asked for photos, but generally people forget. Sometimes I'll try to get photos, but we're in a bsaement, with a strange yellow light and none of my light settings can filter it, so pics are usually orange and blurred I'd love to share them because the flowers, landscapes and trees recently were excellent.

Thanks Zed - I've been playing around with these a little bit and they're great fun. No photos because I haven't made anything that looks good yet <grin> but that's entirely because I've literally been playing with leftover scraps. They're good to roll up and then stretch out a bit and i reckon there's great potential for making a lacy felt with them that way.
