That sounds good or you can embellish with Christmas color yarns or other fibers and not take the time to cut out all those holly leaves. :-)

How about just red and green ones? Or blue and white for snow/winter?

A bar of soap covered in white wool (to represent Christmas snow) with Christmas colour ribbon and Christmas tag?
If you have any in your stash, narrow red tartan ribbon looks very Christmassy.
(Oops, just seen the ideas above, seems as if we all think alike!)

I had some fair success at a church sale early this summer with some soaps. They were "Toms of Maine" from Amazon and wrapped with a soft merino. I tried to wrap contrasting colors with varying success. One thing I found was that you need to set them out to dry for a long time, and don't stuff them out of the way in plastic. Mine got mold on them. Luckily it scrubbed out.
Since that batch I've found some nice soaps at Whole Foods that are not too expensive, already have rounded corners (less work) and subtle fragrance. I'm going to use a coarse wool on them and advertise them as exfoliators/scrubbers.
Another thing I discovered is that the soap needs to lather easily. My first attempt used a bar that I could hardly get to lather up. I finally tossed it.

Scrubby soaps can be advertised for gardeners or if you get some "mens" scents for mechanic's hands. I find that all colours sell at Christmas.
