Thanks for that Galina, they look lovely. Have fun playing with the pieces, would be nice to see what you do with them.

I doubt it will be soon Tracey ! Somebody mentioned about the shop somewhere and I decided to check on it while I remember. Just more fabric to my stash...

I'm pretty sure there's a law that forbids the passing by of anything pretty that could be added to one's stash.

I have some sari offcuts laying around. I usually pull the threads and use them. I'm not sure solid pieces would felt. It's fairly dense. There's always room for more in any stash. :-)
Tracey I like your new avatar.

I made it at a workshop, my first ever introduction to wet felting, in which I loved every single minute of the day. It is a fair size, maybe 25" square, I mounted it on a canvas board.

The fabric looks rather fine to me Marilyn, I'm sure it will felt, not sure how easily though...
Lovely avatar Tracey and great felting job!

That's a nice way to buy smaller pieces. She is making a good profit though! I buy whole pure silk saris online from India - some for as little as £10 - that's for over 5m of silk! & they sometimes incl P&P, or it's only around £2. Do be careful when choosing, I make sure it does say 100% pure silk - often they use terms like craft silk, which is polyester, or it says silky or silk mix etc. I only use pure silk in my nuno, but of course other fabrics often will felt but with silk I know what I'm getting. & I buy from shops that show the weight- a sari under around 300g is lightweight enough to felt fairly easily. Around 200g is approx chiffon. & it's good to look closely at the close-up photos to check whether it's open weave.
I rather like the 'chase'- I think I've only had 1 completely unusable, it was very stiff & crunchy! I gave it to a friend who makes theatre costumes. & 1 or 2 that I've had to work round some worn parts. Can use those as smaller pieces in surface decor. Such a lot of fun in choosing! Oh no - now I've talked myself into going to look for more!

You are luring me into the trying Jill ! I've got two small pieces extra (as a compliment for the late delivery) so I could just try them. It seems all the fabrics in the shop are of the same quality.
