This is by no means vital. I was hoping to change my avatar to a picture that I made at a workshop, the first introduction to felt that started my wonderful addiction! However when I try to load the picture it won't let me, saying the file is too big. Am I missing a techie solution or is it a no go? As I say, not a problem if I cannot use it. Thanks.

You can use the photo Tracey, it just needs re-sizing in quality.
If the original photo is a good 'un it may be, for example, 3MB in size and it needs be a lot less than that for the forum but I can't remember the maximum size. My avatar is about 200KB.
I hope a moderator can help with this.

You can resize your photos with a free online program such as picmonkey.com. I will have to go and check the maximum size but 200 KB sounds good.

Avatars are supposed to be under 75 KB.

Let me know if you need more help. The photo should be hosted on another site. You can't upload photos anymore. So you will need to have it on Flickr or Dropbox or Photo Bucket or something similar.
