Wow! You've been busy whilst I was on holiday and suffering from fibre withdrawal. Carole - super job on the wrap. Nada - great blouse, very pretty. Ruth - love the waterlily. Madeleine - stunning piece, look forward to seeing the bag when it's done. Got back at the weekend and once the cases were unpacked and the washing done, I got started on some fibre prep and spinning and have a 100gm/320metre skein of White Shetland soaking to set. Feeling good.

You blouse turned really well, lots of great texture. the colour is perfect for spring. It is getting lighter here too. I left for work nd it wasn't pitch black out. So nice to see the sunrise.

Nada - love the spring blouse, it's perfect, reminds me of daffodils. We're a long way from spring yet. Still 5-6' of snow piled up around my house.

Wow, viltmaaraan, this carpet is a huge project. Must be quite heavy as well as time consuming. Show us when it is finished.

Yes Nada, it takes lot of time, to card ,wash, dry takes the most of time, put it on the peg loom is a piece of cake. So it is a project of 'in betweens'

I would seriously love a rug like this, even on a small scale. What size are you aiming for Viltmaaraan?

I would seriously love a rug like this, even on a small scale. What size are you aiming for Viltmaaraan? The idea was : 1.60m - by 0.90m. ( about 1,6 yard by 1 yard). I make batts and devide them in 4, make a snake and than "spinning" by hand.

Vitmaaraan I collected a just over a kilo of Alpaca, mix of colours from a farm yesterday to do the very same thing using a peg loom, we can compare our progress - though I think mine will be slow as I have to wash and so on :-)

Carole, i have to wash it too, however i have very clean and white fleece, people don't like the smell and the lanoline. Marilyn , i hope it is worth it. My neighbour has her eye on it I read your blog of Valentinsday, so cute the little hart. Did she like it?

Viltmaaraan, the rug looks good with the natural colours. Will you felt it when its done or leave it as it is?
