Using apps on my phone to match colors

When I have made a decision about what colors to use I always check the app "Colour Wheel" on my Samsung phone.
This is a great app that shows you the color wheel, you can choose your most important color and then change tint and shades. You can ask the app to show you monochromatic colors (5 tints, tones, and shades of a single hue, complementary ( opposite ) colors,  to create the strongest contrast for a particular color, split complementary ( your main color with 2 contrasting colors, and triad, tetrad, analogic and accented analogic colorschemes. Sometimes it inspires me to use colors that I don't like but obviously pop up the combination of chosen colors.
To train my feeling for colors I use the app: Blendoku which is a game to test your color skills and find out if you are a color master or a color desaster. Very addictive!

Wow, great tip! I'm not too good with colors, but I've learned that patience gets you a long way. Will definitely look it up!

It sounds good, so does blendoku. Can you get these things for tablets, I don't have a phone.

You should be able to get all those types of apps for tablets Zed, what kind do you have?

I'm not sure, Ruth A Windows tablet. I got it a couple of months ago and haven't even plugged it in yet.

Just go to the app store. There are thousands of choices. Even the color ones have a bunch of different ones. Some better than others.
