Great scarves. Nice and colourful to brighten bleak weather. My daily dose yesterday was to dye the silk blanks for some upcoming classes and get my cards started. Saturdays daily dose was getting rid of some moths.

I am enjoying making cards to go into my stock for when I make my fortune at craft fairs in the future! They are felted and free motion stitched. They are A5 and may look shiny in the picture as they are in cellophane wraps to keep grubby fingers at bay! The red/orange one is not normally my colours but I like it the best out of the two now. www.dropbox.com/s/26m0ssaa6vh9zaq/20161123_151146.jpg?dl=0

They are beautiful cards Tracey - and those cellophane wraps are a very good idea because nobody wants to buy a grubby card.

Finally posting again after a long absence - I have been living in my condo in Florida but will be going back to North Georgia 12/5 when I will be able to move into my new condo - everything has been in storage since July. I have been doing a lot of sewing some clothing and decorating. My latest project was my bedroom here at the beach. I came across some beautiful fabric in the back of an uphostery shop and could not resist purchasing it. Photos are in my blog wp.me/p4joTe-6MWill be working on felting my Christmas Card for Jill - brought a package with me that I had not opened that was suppose to have red roving in it - the color is poppy on one package and crimson on the other both look rather pink. Oh well. Great to see you back on the forum Frances. Your bedroom looks fabulous!

Wonderful hat Viltmaaraan. I love the cut-outs and the gradation of colour - did your mother like it?

Tracy those are great cards. And yes you need to keep the clean. Did you make them yourself or did they come with the blank cards? Cards is one of the things on my list.

I've spent the last two days on making loop scarves, actually neck warmers. I wanted to have them both sided but mainly I wanted to use wool which is not sufficient for making a larger piece. The resist was simple (rectangular) and I made two thin layers of wool and used all sorts of scrap silk fabric and fiber for embellishments. The first one was a bit too large, so I made the other one smaller. It's actually fun using bits and pieces to make a useful piece. This one is more red/orange on one side and pink/blue on the other www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43826222 www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43826224 The other one is rather wild in colours but I quite like it: www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43826220 www.ipernity.com/doc/724735/43826218 Do you just slip them over your head to wear them? Love the colors used in both of them.

Thanks for the lovely comment. The wraps are sold separately, varying sizes to match the blank cards of course. They really finish the project.

Hi Viltmaaraan, the little balls are wool nepps. I have a big bag of white ones, very useful. The colourful ones are from a lady here in the UK who dyes the nepps, and names them, such as River running by (blues), Blackberry hedgerow (purples and greens), Rosebay willow herb (pinks greens purples), they are scrumptious!!
