I always seem to be disappointed with craft fairs that I try, but our well being group had a stall at a local one yesterday, and we did really well. We were tucked out of the way of other events a bit and it was slow at first, but we'd made £31 by the end of the day, and they only asked for 10% of sales for the 'fee'. So that's pretty good! We still have 'stock' to sell too so hopefully we'll make a bit more at christmas. And, they're interested in selling some stuff through their shop

Great, I am glad you had a good experience and found a fair that worked for you. And a possible new selling opportunity is always welcome

Great! And it's always better to do it as a group, having a day together as a bonus!

Thanks a lot everyone It definitely was easier in a group, it seemed easier to engage people. And I think not being behind the stall helped too. Also, it was a family day, so if people carry kids and babies at a convenient height to say hello to, the parents have to stop aswell

I am glad you have found a place that works for you. It is so much easier if you have other people to help you set things up and help you with making a good display.

Thanks, Ann and Halay The unusual setting of a garden centre and being in a poly tunnel gave us some unusual ways of displaying things, hanging from the tomato plants and supports!

What a lovely venue and the stall looks great - and I could see some pretty pieces that haven't been shown on the forum.
Also, being in a poly tunnel gave the very best light for the felt didn't it?
